TRUMP DEMO

On 4 June 2019, 75,000 and me gathered in central London’s Trafalgar Square on Tuesday to show our anger over U.S. President Trump’s visit to the U.K. Meanwhile, trump dismissed the protests as “fake news” during a press conference with British Prime Minister Theresa May. He insisted that he’d only seen “thousands of people” who had been cheering during his visit, and a “small protest” earlier Tuesday. “So a lot of it is fake news, I hate to say,” he said.
There were two processions, I joined up with the LGB group, organised by a Manchester Drag Queen known as Cheddar Gorgeous. We met up in Soho where I made some of the portraits and marching with this group we joined up with the other procession at Trafalgar Square. In a column for the Guardian newspaper Cheddar Gorgeous wrote that the mission of the protest is “to stand in solidarity with all marginalized groups who are affected by Trump’s administration and the rhetoric of intolerance that fuels it.” I’ve no argument with that.
